PCHS Varsity Girls Beat Carroll
The Patrick County Varsity Girls beat Carroll County 47-36 in their home game, Thursday, February 12. The Lady Cougars went into halftime trailing 19-22, but came out strong in the 2nd half, outscoring the Lady Cavs 28-14. Chloe Hubbard had 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 deflections, 4 steals, and 1 block. Kendra Worley had 10 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 7 deflections, and 2 steals. Martina Hubbard had 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 deflection, and 3 steals. Journey Moore had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 deflections, and 2 steals. Lauren Hazelwood had 3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 deflections, and 3 steals.
Varsity Girls Sweep Glenvar
The Patrick County High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team swept Glenvar this season, getting a 53-35 home win over the Lady Highlanders, Tuesday, February 10. The Lady Cougars outscored Glenvar every quarter in the win. Chloe Hubbard had 19 points, 13 rebounds, 1 deflection, and 3 steals. Kendra Worley had 9 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 7 deflections, and 5 steals. Gracen Conner had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 11 deflections, and 4 steals. Lauren Hazelwood had 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 deflection. Martina Hubbard had 4 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 deflection, and 1 steal. Sheyan Lester had 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal.
Varsity Girls Beat Radford
The Varsity Girls Basketball Team got revenge on Radford, defeating them 55-50 at home, Monday, February 9. The Lady Cougars took the lead in the 1st quarter, but let the Lady Bobcats take the lead in the 2nd and 3rd. Radford had a 46-35 lead going into the 4th. Patrick County outscored Radford 20-4 in the 4th, giving them the win. Chloe Hubbard had a big night on both sides of the ball, racking up 22 points, pulling down 9 rebounds, getting 4 deflections, and 5 steals. Sheyan Lester had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 deflections, and 1 steal. Kendra Worley had 10 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 7 deflections, and 8 steals. Abigail Royall had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
