Mountain Valley was recognized as a 2026 Hospice CAHPS Honors recipient for its Virginia service area, a national distinction recognizing hospice organizations that provide exceptional care and outstanding patient and family experiences.
The Hospice CAHPS Honors program, presented by MatrixCare, recognizes high-performing hospice providers based on results from the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. The award reflects feedback from patients’ families and caregivers and highlights organizations that consistently deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
To earn this recognition, hospice providers must score above the MatrixCare national performance benchmark on key quality measures, including families’ willingness to recommend the hospice, as well as multiple indicators related to communication, symptom management, emotional support, and overall quality of care.
“This recognition reflects the compassion, dedication, and professionalism of our Virginia team,” said Jenna Campbell, Chief Clinical Operations Officer. “Every day, our staff and volunteers are committed to creating the best experience for every patient, every family, every time. We are honored that the families we serve have recognized their commitment through this award.”
The 2026 Hospice CAHPS Honors awards were based on survey results collected from April through December 2025. Award recipients were identified by comparing hospice performance against national benchmarks across 22 quality indicator measures.
Mountain Valley remains committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered hospice care that supports individuals and families with dignity, comfort, and excellence throughout life’s journey.
