The Southern Virginia Latino Association (SOVALA) announced the 7th annual Latino Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 at Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will feature local Latino foods and artisans, live music, and resources for the entire Southern Virginia region.
“Patrick & Henry Community College is proud to be the host location for the annual SOVALA Latino Festival. We look forward to welcoming community members to campus for this fantastic event,” said Monica Hatchett, P&HCC director of public relations & marketing.
In addition to dance demonstrations and authentic Latino music and food, festival attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about services available in our community and children will enjoy games, face painting, and prizes.
Sponsors for the event include Sarver Properties, Meches Beauty, and Danville Pediatric Dentistry.
“Our annual Latino Festival is becoming a staple in our community, and we are proud to host this alongside Patrick & Henry Community College. This is a great time to connect with one another and learn about the resources available in our region while enjoying a lively atmosphere,” said Eli Salgado, SOVALA executive director.
