Patrick Henry Community College will offer Engineering Technology Camp for rising 10th and 11th graders Monday-Friday, June 26-30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuition is $20 (the class has a value of $250) and lunch is provided.
During this hands-on, project-based camp, students will work in the Fab Lab, learning to use equipment such as the laser engraver, CNC router, and vinyl cutter.
Camp participants will work together to learn to produce a product while employing the steps of the manufacturing process from design to production. Products will be evaluated by a team of judges and the winner will receive two months of free access to the Fab Lab.
The class will be held at PHCC’s Dalton IDEA Center, 26 Fayette St. in Martinsville.
