Dixie Youth All-Star team members: (not in order in photo) are Tucker Swails, Rylan Trent, Martin Sawyers, Tyler Stowe-Holt, Braeden Augustine, Hunter Strole, Ben Hiatt, Troy Cox, Tristan Underwood, Michael Nelson, Toby Perkins, Jai Penn and Bubba Taylor.

The Patrick County Ozone Dixie Youth All Stars’ season came to an end Sunday night with a loss to Roanoke North in the Dixie Youth State Tournament.

The team of 12 players was chosen June 9, and since that day they have practiced, played, won the District 3 regional championship, raised funds for the trip to the state tournament and made memories that will last a lifetime. The players, coaches, parents and Patrick County supporters are all proud of the way they represented their team, schools and county!

In the opening game of the Dixie Youth State Baseball Tournament held at Brookneal Friday night, the Patrick County Ozone All Stars lost 7-3 to tournament favorite Appomattox. Patrick County played hard right down to the final out as the game ended with the bases loaded.

Saturday, the Ozone All Stars beat Vinton 9-3 in the second round of the Dixie Youth State Tournament in Brookneal!
