Two bridges in Patrick County on Route 773 and Route 646 are scheduled for replacement this month and detours will be in place.
Beginning on Monday, March 28 at 9 a.m., Route 773 (Ararat Highway) will be closed for five consecutive days while the bridge over Fall Creek is replaced. The road will be closed for approximately 300 feet at the bridge located between Route 614 and Route 814.
A detour will be in place with signs directing traffic to alternate routes. Weather permitting, the road is expected to re-open on Friday, April 1 at 4 p.m.
On Monday, March 14 at 9 a.m., Route 646 (Little Dan River Road) will be closed for five consecutive days while the bridge over Pig Creek is replaced. The road will be closed for 300 feet, approximately 100 feet on either end including the bridge, for the duration of the closure.
A detour will be in place with signs directing traffic to alternate routes. Weather permitting, the road is expected to re-open on Friday, March 18 at 4 p.m.
