It was a “Seusstacular” time as the pre-kindergarten class at Woolwine Elementary School participated in “Read Across America” Week. Students heard 15 volunteers read a variety of books including some by Dr. Seuss. March 4 was the official birthday of Theodor Seuss Giesel, an American illustrator and writer of children’s books. In honor of what would have been Dr. Seuss’ 112th birthday, Donna Harbour , dressed as the Cat in the Hat, and Tayman and Bryson Bullins portrayed Thing 1 and Thing 2. It was also a special honor to have a retired English teacher, Phyllis Eastridge share some stories and songs with the class.
