Sixth annual golf tourney set

The sixth annual Moorefield Store Volunteer Fire Department golf tournament will be held at Gordon Trent Golf Club on Saturday, June 23 at 9 a.m. The cost is $60 per player. Two mulligans are available for $5 each.

The following are special prizes for holes in one: 5th hole (gold tee for men, red for ladies), $25,000; 9th hole (blue tee), set of Calloway woods and irons; 13th hole, $750 Visa gift card; and 16th hole (yellow tee), Apple entertainment pack. Carded pros must pre-register to be eligible.

For the closest to the pin for the third, ninth, thirteenth and sixteenth holes wins $100 cash at each hole.

Four player teams, Captain’s Choice: ages 70+ red tees; 60-70 years, yellow; all others, white tees.

The payout will be determined according to the number of players the day of the event. Cash prizes will go to select teams determined after play.

A free barbeque dinner will be available to all participants available after 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Moorefield Store Volunteer Fire Department.
