Mrs. Ila Martin Dillon, 92, of Patrick Springs passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019. She was born in Patrick County, VA on August 10, 1926 to the late Claude & Earsie Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jesse James Dillon; sisters, Mae Young, Virginia Wingfield; brother, Lin Martin.  

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Cummings (Gary); son, Philip Dillon (Angie); four grandchildren, Beth Scott, Brandi & Ronnie Williams, Dustin Dillon and Mandy Dillon; three great-grandchildren; Jessica, Nate and Lauryn; one great-granddog, Molly; one sister, Pansy McAlexander.

Ila was a member of Faith Fellowship in Bassett. She enjoyed spending time with her family and neighbors, working in her flowers, and cooking for her family. She was a treasure to the community and all who knew her.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will be in the Martin Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday, June 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home, and other times at her home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
