Josephine Bowman of Ararat celebrated her 98th birthday at Twelve Oaks Nursing Home in Mount Airy, N.C., where she resides. She is the widow of Curtis Bowman. They had one son, Roger Dale Bowman, who was killed in action in Viet Nam. She celebrated with good wishes from friends and family.
