Paul Vester Holt, age 91, of Stuart,, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart.
He was born in Patrick County on December 19, 1924 and was a son of] the late Crockett Holt and Cora Lawson Holt. He wass also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jefferson Holt; a grandson, Barry Cassady; a great-granddaughter, Megan Leigh Palmer; three sisters, Essie Wood, Eva Collins and Nellie Holt; and a brother, Charles Holt.
He had retired from United Elastic.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Harvey Cassady of Patrick Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Brenda Holt of Ridgeway and Rodney and Debora Holt of Stuart; seven grandchildren, Beverly Reynolds, Rebecca Palmer, Laurie Cassady, Aimee Hairston and husband Kevin, Brian Holt, Bradley Holt and wife Nicole, Brett Holt and wife Amanda; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Demriss Holt of Fieldale and Junior and Mozelle Holt of Stuart; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Irene Rigney of Rocky Mount and Frances and Allen Koger of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
