A two-part nutrient management training school will be held in June and July at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton. Conducted by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, the program is open to anyone interested in learning more about writing nutrient management plans or becoming a certified planner.
The three-day training on June 28-30 is a hands-on school in which students will write a plan using real farm information. The two-day training on July 13 and 14 is a lecture series that will cover soil science, soil fertility and crop production information.
