Mr. Franklin Delano Roberson “Frankie”, age 78 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at his home on Monday, December 23, 2019. He was born in Patrick County on November 8, 1941, to the late John Warden Roberson and Crystal Fain Roberson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jesse Mildred Hall Roberson; and four brothers, James M. Roberson, Ray W. Roberson, Gilmer Roberson, and Murray H. Roberson. Frankie loved to garden, take pictures, and draw. He was a member of Stuart Primitive Baptist Church and had 28 years of service with the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier.
Mr. Roberson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Bobbie Roberson of Stuart; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Isaacs of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Lindsay Roberson, Corey Roberson, Bradley Isaacs, and James Roberson Isaacs “Robbie”; one step-granddaughter, Michelle Worley; one brother, Johnnie B. Roberson of Stuart; two sisters, Shirley Trent and Charlene Williams, both of Stuart; longtime companion, Annette Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberson will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019; at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Gleason Worrell and Joe Young officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
