Stuart Elementary Jr. Beta students recently attended Virginia’s State Convention in Hampton, Virginia. Ella Hazelwood, sixth-grader, won first place with her color photograph of her backyard skyline in visual arts competition. Haley Rakes, sixth-grader, won first place in the academic Language Arts competition. SES seventh grade robotics team members, Jude Martin, Easton Harris, Jordan Harris, Cameron Collins, Joshua Freeman, Blake Dillon, Chance Corns, and Hunter Heath won third place in the robotics competition. They wish to thank Angie Pendleton for all her help in this competition. Jr. Beta students also wish to thank Ms. Justine Frost and Ms. Hannah Ingo for their sponsorship, guidance, and for accompanying the club to the VA Beta Convention. Special appreciation goes to SES PTO for helping fund the trip.
