Discussion of the upcoming budget and setting a public hearing on the proposed tax rate are among the issues the Patrick County Board of Supervisors will consider at their meeting on Monday, March 9.

Also at their meeting that begins at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Building in Stuart, the board is slated to hear presentations by David Rose of Davenport & Company and Ann Foley with the Patrick County Department of Social Services; hear a report on the Broadband Fund from Bryce Simmons, director of the Patrick County Economic Development Authority, and consider a resolution by the Finance Advisory Committee.

Supervisors are scheduled to discuss old business that includes repair of a Recreation Department/Maintenance Truck; a proposal from the Patrick County Historical Museum by Owen Caldwell and other matters.

The board also is slated to recognize Greyson Howell with an Eagle Scout presentation and Mike Bass for a Public Safety Award.

Supervisors may meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal contract, broadband easements and real estate matters.
