Cub Scouts from Pack 69 earned Arrow of Light awards recently and participated in a bridging ceremony where Cub Scouts transition into Boy Scouts.
Justin Epperson, Creston McAlister, Payton Stovall and Ty Stowe received the prestigious Arrow of Light Award, the highest award that can be earned in Cub Scouts, during a ceremony at Cub Scout Pack 69’s annual Blue and Gold Banquet.
The scouts had to complete a series of requirements including projects and community service work as well as advance through the ranks of scouting.
The Arrow of Light is the only Cub Scout award that can be carried over and worn on the Boy Scout uniform, a news release said.
The arrow reminds scouts to continue to “go straight on the pathway of Scouting and in life.” The seven rays featured in the arrow represent wisdom, courage, self-control, justice, faith, hope and love.
Scout leaders congratulate Justin Epperson, Creston McAlister, Payton Stovall and Ty Stowe, and their families on this well-earned achievement.
