Supervisors to hold called meeting

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will hold a special called meeting on Thursday, May 7, at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Building in Stuart.

Under business, the board will hear from Marcos Alcorn, KSA. Additional information about this item was not provided. 

Old business includes continued budget discussion at 6:30 p.m., when the board hears from or considers information from Greg Preston, Piedmont Community Services; Joan Rogers (sic), Department of Social Services; Rickie Walker, Anchor; Sandra Belcher, Patrick County Tourism Director; Marc Crouse, STEP; Mickie Martin, E-911 Coordinator and Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith.

The board also may meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters. 

Anyone wishing to share their comments for the public comment period may do so by emailing  awalker@co.patrick.va.us or ghazelwood@co.patrick.va.us by noon on Thursday, May 7. A live call in number, (276) 806-2837, also will be available. The meeting will be live streamed on the Friends of Patrick County Tourism Facebook page.
