This beautiful sunflower is one grown by Bruce and Shirlien Belcher. There is a bee on it near the top. It’s so pretty in color.

By Ivalien Reynolds

It rained and rained and there was flooding. No wonder! Some places got 7 to 8 inches of rain. We will appreciate some sun. I know it will feel good to my bones to sit on the porch in the sun.

I had a nice letter from my stepson down in Morehead. It’s always so good to hear from him.

I got to go to Elizabeth’s Pizza and get my hamburger and diet Pepsi. It was so good, so that’s my comfort food for the week.

I had to go to the dollar store for a few things I needed. Thanks to a nice lady for helping me put my purchases in the car. Sometimes it’s hard to manage things and use a cane, but I am thankful I can walk with a cane.

Church in the parking lot was good, and Sam was greeting everyone. It was a little warm, but we got through it by running the air and sitting our cars. Time is going so fast. Fall will soon be here, then we will be too cold.

Food Ministry was blessed with a big load of potatoes. So many blessings. A big bag is too many for me, so I was happy to share, and I know a baby that loves potatoes fixed anyway. Also, I was happy to share with William Collins. Maybe we can sit down and talk again sometime.

All that water and toilet paper have been a real blessing. I’ve not had to worry about that. Thanks again to Beverly Woody.

Thanks again to the person that sent me the Amish books. I have enjoyed them so much. I’m hoping you read my column. That was a blessing.

It’s so sad to see the numbers of the terrible virus is going up every day, and the deaths are going up also.

I still take a ride around Patrick Springs every day and always see people out in their yards working and doing things and waving at me. I enjoy that.

Mary Ann called from D.C., and I got caught up on the news there. She’s like us and staying in. She always does brighten my day with her positive thoughts.

Everyone take care. Love you.

Food for Thought- What is the secret to long time security? Trust in God. Psalm 9:10 says and those who know your name put their trust in you – for you O Lord have not forsaken those who seek you.
