March blood drives successful

Thank you, Patrick County. You donated twenty-two units of blood in March, which translates to helping as many as sixty-six patients with medical issues.

And a big “shout-out” and thank you to Brian Jessup & Associates for their long-time support of the Patrick County Blood Drive.

Thank you, Volunteers. They are the ones who make your donation experience as pleasant as possible. The Volunteers take time out of their schedule to help donors through the general process of donation. This month’s volunteers were William Hines, Denise Clark, Laura and Christine Citrano, Jack Vestal, Patty Brunner, Carol Vernon, and Betty Holt.

Please remember that the American Red Cross encourages donors to make an appointment for your time to donate via internet at redcross.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767. Walk-ins are welcomed but please know that your donation might take longer as those with appointments are accommodated first.

Next month’s blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the John D. Hooker Building.

Please mark your calendar to donate next month.

Gene Stirewalt,

Stuart
