Aana Cheminne Taylor-Smith and Captain Christopher Lee Gamble were married Saturday, September 3, at Summerfield Farms, Summerfield, N.C. Donald Ellis officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Matt Smith and Cheminne Taylor-Smith of Greensboro. N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Taylor of Meadows of Dan; Bill Chaiken and Roxanna Albury of Cashiers, N.C.; and Ben Smith of Seneca, S.C.
She is a graduate of the Early College at Guilford and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she earned a B.S. in biology and a B.S. in environmental science. She earned a master’s degree in environmental assessment from N.C. State University and is an adjunct professor at Western Governers University.
The groom is the son of Cindy Gamble of Greensboro and the late David Gamble. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Cranford of Greensboro; and Eunice Gamble of Lane, S.C., and the late Mr. J.P. Gamble.
He is a graduate of the Early College at Guilford and The Citadel where he earned a B.S. in biology. He is a captain in the U.S. Army.
Kelly Wall of Atlanta, Ga. was the maid of honor. The bride’s other attendants were the cousin of the bride, Cole Songer; Mari Carl Fisher of Wilmington, N.C., and Brooke Ferguson of Carlsbad, Calif.
The groom chose his brother, Andrew Gamble of Charlotte, N.C., as best man. Groomsmen were Stuart Gamble of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., brother of the groom; Joe Cruz of Fort Drum, N.Y. and Chris Scott of Savannah, Ga.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Summerfield Farms and was catered by Fresh Local Good Food Group.
On Friday evening, the rehearsal dinner was held at the O.Henry Hotel.
Following a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in El Paso, Tex.
