The Stuart Rotary Club will sponsor the annual Patrick County Agricultural Fair Sept. 20-24 at Rotary Field on Woodland Drive.
There will be carnival rides, delicious food, games, special events, musical entertainment, beauty pageants, a rodeo, demolition derby, animals on display at the livestock barn, and exhibit tents filled with commercial exhibits, local agricultural products, art, handicrafts, and much more.
Pageants will be held at the Hooker Building on Saturday, Sept. 17, before the fair gets started. Admission will be $5 for those 14 and up, $3 for kids aged 6-13, and children under six will be admitted free.
On Tuesday, gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and rides will begin at 6 p.m. General admission is $5 for adults 19 and up, $3 for kids 6 to 18, and children under six will be admitted free.
All military personnel in uniform will be admitted free.
Tuesday is Youth Night, with free admission and wrist band ride specials. A $2 discount will be available for youth between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Tuesday’s entertainment will include Mt. Nebo Church, Trinity Church, and RC Gospel Singers.
Photos may be made with the Little Caesar’s mascot, and horses will be on display at the animal barn.
On Wednesday night, the rodeo will be the main attraction, to be held at the amphitheatre at 7:30 p.m. The rodeo is sponsored by Lock Boyce and proceeds will go toward fire and rescue volunteers.
There will be a 4-H Youth Cooking Challenge judged by Cooking with Paul. Rabbits, calves, sheep and goats at the animal barn.
Entertainment will be presented by Senior Melodies with Maynard Trent, One Accord, OmBrew with Scott Eutsler, and the Joyful Noise.
Thursday will be Senior Night, with free admission for seniors 60 and above. Music will be presented by Sue Nester, Shelley Roberts, Vernon Harris, and Jack Belcher.
Sheep and goats will be on display at the livestock barn.
The Demolition Derby will highlight Friday night, presented by Stuart Rotary Club. It will be held in the amphitheatre at 8 p.m.
Cattle and small animals will be displayed at the animal barn.
Entertainment will be provided by the Glory Road Singers, Tina and Herbert Conner, Debbie Bennett, Swift Creek, and Marcie Horne.
Saturday will feature the 4-H Cattle Show at 6:30 p.m. and the Patrick County Talent Show with music and dancing.
Performers will include Almost There, Gale Shockley and Friends, Jason Harris and Friends, and the Country Boys.
All musical performances will be at the Hooker Building Stage.
