Patrick County, in partnership with the Town of Stuart and the West Piedmont Planning District Commission, has been awarded a 2021 Community Development Block Grant to study and plan for revitalization of the Stuart Downtown Historic District. This planning grant is being provided by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Per the requirements of the grant, a public meeting must be held to discuss business revitalization plans, historic preservation efforts, and
feasibility analyses in the project area.
A Public Input Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Patrick Henry Community College site, located at 212 Wood Brothers Drive in Stuart. The public is encouraged to attend and provide feedback. Patrick County is required to disclose that future Planning Grant and Community Improvement Grant funding depends on completion of this public meeting.
Input may be provided before the meeting by emailing EDA@co.patrick.va.us or calling (276) 694-8367.
