Nancy M. Findley, age 77, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2016, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, N.C.
Nan was a native of Anderson County, S.C. She had lived with her husband in Patrick County for the past 33 years.
Nan always had a smile on her face, she enjoyed living in the mountains as well as vacationing at the beach. She was an active gardener, especially with flowers of which she had many varieties growing around her home. She was dedicated hospice volunteer and helped create a hospice memory garden at DeHart Park. A wonderful wife, mother, and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nan is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert L. Findley; daughter, Karen Boyd and husband Danny; one son, Robert Findley Jr. and wife Dawn, all of Winterville, N.C.; one sister, Ella Wilson and husband Forbes of Anderson; and one brother, Thomas McGill and wife Alice of Iva, S.C.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with the Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
