The Patrick County Long Term Care Committee determined that this year’s Senior Health Fair will once again be held via WHEO radio rather than in person.
“Public health and safety is our number one concern,” said organizer Stephanie LaPrade of the Southern Area Agency on Aging. “We had a great partnership with WHEO last year and will continue to offer our programs through them this year.”
Each Wednesday in October – 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th – at 8:30 a.m. the PCLTCC will offer a speaker to address concerns for seniors on 1270 AM and 92.7 FM. Topics will include a COVID-19 status update from the Virginia Department of Health, scams that affect seniors, managing mental health through the pandemic, and more. Tune in each Wednesday morning to learn more.
