The Buffalo Ridge Community Crime Watch Meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church. Guest speaker will be Investigator Jason Kruse speaking on his role as an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigator.
Friday, Nov. 12
The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold a music night will Snow Creek Ole Tyme Band in the Alumni Hall. The gate opens at 5 p.m. and the band will start going at 6:20 p.m. Admission is a $5 donation. Social distancing will be required with masks when that is not possible. Concessions will be sold.
The LifeSpring Center in Stuart will hold a Natural Health Seminar featuring herbalist and lifestyle educator Walt Cross. The seminar, “Herbs & Their Benefits” will start at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 13
The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold a Fall Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors, cruise-in, food trucks, a book sale, pain class, and Barnival on the Ballfield with the Pig Train. The Reynolds Homestead will host its annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair in person from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Engagement Center in Critz. Vendors are welcome to apply online at https://bit.ly/ReynoldsCraftFair.com, and physical application forms are also available at the Creative Arts Center (Patrick County Chamber of Commerce) or at the Reynolds Homestead. Booth space is $25 and vendors with handcraft items, original artwork, baked goods, etc. are encouraged to be a part of the festival. The LifeSpring Center in Stuart will hold a Natural Health Seminar featuring herbalist and lifestyle educator Walt Cross. The seminar “Old Mountain Remedies” will start at 3 p.m., a complimentary soup and salad supper will be at 5:30 p.m., and the “How to Prepare Old Mountain Remedies” seminar will be at 6:30 p.m.
The Ararat Ruritan Club will hold its monthly Jackpot Bingo at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for 20 games, coverall is $5 each plus door prizes and concessions. Each game pays out $50 with the cover-all payout is at $150 if not won within 53 draws. This month’s jackpot is $1,000 if the coverall is not won within 53 draws.

The Patrick County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 2 p.m. at the Patrick County Historical Museum, adjacent to the library in Stuart. The speaker will be Beverly Belcher Woody, and the event is free to the public. Light refreshments and tours of the museum will be offered following the meeting.
