The Woolwine United Methodist Church Mobile Food Unit and the Ross Harbour United Methodist Church Children’s Clothing Ministry will be at the Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department from 3-5 p.m.
Stuart Farmers Market will be open Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Locally grown fresh vegetables, eggs, baked items, cheese, meats, honey and crafts will be available for purchase. The Landmark and Blue Ridge Nursing’s Facility will be onsite to provide free blood pressure checks.

Kingdom Tribe Church, the former Mount Calvary Holy Church will hold A Cry for Revival. Paster Floyd Dodson will be the speaker on Friday at 7 p.m. and Evangelist Jason Shupe will speak on Saturday at 7 p.m. Paster Jeff Harris will be the Sunday morning service at 11:30 a.m.

Benefit supper at the Peters Creek Community Bldg. in Dry Pond, from 4 until 8 p.m., with all proceeds to help Stanley Hill with medical expenses. Menu will be spaghetti, with meat sauce, bread, desert, and drink. Plates are $l0 each. Eat in or take out.
A BBQ fundraiser will be held at the Strawberry Festival in uptown Stuart to raise money for the Mtn. Home Masonic Lodge #263 and its community projects. The cost will be $7 for a combo, or $35 for a whole Boston butt. Call (276) 692-6625 to reserve a whole Boston butt.
The Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Black Pot Chicken Supper from 4-7 p.m. Other items available include baked potatoes, slaw, roll, and a brownie. The event will be drive-thru only with no call-ins.
The Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a county breakfast from 6:30-10 a.m. The dine-in price is $4 for a child’s plate and $8 for an adult plate. All to go plates are $8, and call-in orders can be made by calling (276) 930-2113.
The Ararat Ruritan Club will host an emergency vehicle and classic car “Cruise-In” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in honor of our local heroes in the fire/police/EMS field as we celebrate Ruritan National’s birthday. Food will be available on site.
The Ararat Ruritan Club will host its monthly Jackpot Bingo at 6 p.m. Cost is $20 for 20 games, coveralls $5 each PLUS door prizes and concessions. Each game pays out $50 with the cover-all payout at $150 if not won within 59 draws. This month’s jackpot is $1,600.00, if the cover-all is won within 59 draws. Doors open at 5 p.m., with concessions which include hotdogs, popcorn, nachos, chips, candy, soft drinks and bottled water.

The Stuart Rotary Club will host a Steak Dinner in the Hooker Building at Stuart Rotary Field located at 420 Woodland Drive in Stuart. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at https://bit.ly/SRCSteakDinner2022, Rotary members will also have paper tickets available for $25. A limited quantity of tickets will be available at the door. Meal includes a ribeye steak cooked to your liking, baked potato, salad, dessert, and a drink. Dine in or take out. Alpha-gal safe meal option available by request- email stuartrotary@gmail.com. Funds raised will go toward Stuart Rotary Club’s many community service projects/outreach benefiting Patrick County.

Fairy Stone State Park will hold a ‘Corn Squeezins’ There Anit Nothin Like A Fambly Business’ event at the Park Amphitheater at 8:30 p.m. The event will teach visitors about moonshine stills, revenuers, raids, and the good ‘ole boys and girls. The Vesta Community Quarter Auction will be held at 149 Community Lane in Vesta. Doors open at 5 p.m. and game starts at 6 p.m. Funds raised will go towards the Sanville Sluggers Base Team and donations like baseball equipment and game day refreshments are appreciated. Resolute Therapy will hold a sign-up for the Bookin’it for Fun Color Run until May 31. The cost for pre-registration is $25 with the day-of cost being $30. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office’s “Shop with a Cop” and “Project Life Saver Bands” programs and the Patrick County Public Library. The Patrick County Parks and Recreation Office is now accepting soccer registration for the 2022-23 school year. Students who are 3 to 14 years of age (7th grade or under) are eligible to participate in the recreation department’s soccer program. Stuart United Methodist Church offers The Circle of Hands from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of each month. If it is a holiday weekend, the meeting will be cancelled. Men and women are invited to attend the new group, which offers an opportunity to fellowship, and bring a project to work on or lean a new craft.
The Farm Market Fresh for Seniors is available through the Southern Area Agency on Aging (SAAA). Eligible seniors may receive $45 worth of coupons that can be used to purchase locally-grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs at participating Farmer’s Markets. SAAA will take applications over the phone as supplies last on a first come, first serve basis.
