The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 15
Piedmont Community Services will hold a Patrick County Resource Fair at the Stuart Farmer’s Market from 12-5 p.m. The fair is to help the community learn about the services Piedmont offers including access, mental health services, substance abuse services, school-based services, and others. There will also be games, food trucks, PCS resource stations, door prizes, music, and more.
The Carroll County Genealogy Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on the left side of the Historic Old Courthouse on Main Street in Hillsville.
Friday, Sept. 16
The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold a Martinsville-Henry County is for Book Lovers Dinner, Trivia, and Silent Auction with an Author at 6 p.m. Attending authors include Lacey Baker, Lisa Dodson, Jenna Jaxon, Nancy Naigle, and more. Advance tickets can be purchased at kbsconsultanpa.com/product-page/dinner-trivia-silent-auction-tickets. Advance tickets will go off sale at midnight on Sept. 15. The cost per ticket at the door will be $35.
Saturday, Sept. 17
The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold MHC is for Book Lovers Bookfest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attending authors include Betsy Ashton, Robert Bailey, Wendy H. Jones, Allie Marie, and more.
Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a country breakfast from 6:30-10 a.m. Dine in prices are $8 for an adult plate and $4 for a child plate. All to go plates are $8 each. To place a call-in order call (276) 903-2113.
The Francisco Community Building in Westfield, NC, will hold a Farmfest along the Sunflower Trail. The trail hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with supper being from 4-6 p.m. and a concert from 4-7 p.m.
iWOW! – Women of the World, founded by Dr. Carol Elaine, women’s meeting will be held from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Patrick Springs Holiness Church, 260 Spring Road, Patrick Springs. There will be a speaker, worship, encouragement and prayer.
Sunday, Sept. 18
High Point Baptist Church will hold an Outdoor Homecoming Service at 10 a.m. Preaching will be done by Teddy Hiatt and singing will be by members of the Wayside Community Church. There will be a cookout following the service and people should bring their own chairs.
Reynolds Homestead will hold a Tea & Tours for prospective volunteers at 2:30 p.m.
The Biggs reunion will be held at the Pentecostal Holiness Church. The meal will start at 1 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to bring a covered dish and join the family in fellowship. For more information, call Carlton Biggs at 276-694-4167.

Monday, Sept. 19
The Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) Local Board meeting will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the Hooker Exhibit Hall at the Frith Economic Development Center. The Budget & Finance Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. in Frith 124. This is an open meeting, but the board will not receive public comment.
Friday, Sept. 23
The Woolwine Food Truck will be at the Fairystone Fire Department from 3-5 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 24
The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold a canning event at 9 a.m. for folks that have some experience with canning. All supplies are provided. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
The Stuart High School Class Reunion will be held at the Patrick Springs Holiness Church. All classes of SHs are invited to attend, included anyone who attended elementary or high school at Stuart, along with spouses. Doors will open at 2 p.m. with appetizers, and a covered dish dinner will be held around 4 p.m. Masks are not required, but may be worn if desired.

The Spencer-Penn Centre will hold a Barn Quilt Class from 1-5 p.m. All supplies will be provided, and the pricing is based on size. The registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 16. Contact the Centre for more details and to register.

New Hope Church will hold a revival night at 7 p.m. Marvin Wade will be speaking, and there will be special music each night.

The Stuart Farmers’ Market will hold a monthly Master Gardeners Program. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. with locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, baked items, eggs, crafts, and more.

The Coffee Break Café hosts live music on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring an instrument, or just come and listen.
