Mr. Terry “Scott” Puckett, age 52, of Ararat, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina surrounded by his family. Mr. Puckett was born in Surry County to Olen Cornelius and Hilda Goad Puckett. Scott was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Surviving is his mother, Hilda Goad Puckett; one sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie Puckett Epperson and husband Joey; two brothers and sister-in-law, Neal Puckett, Stacy Puckett and wife Jenna; two nieces, Abigail Epperson, Caroline Puckett; and two nephews, Justin Epperson, and Zane Puckett. Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by his father, Olen Cornelius Puckett.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. Buford Jessup officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.
