The Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR was organized February 25, 1950, at the home of Mrs. J. Myron Clark in Stuart. Thirteen of the eighteen organizing members were descendants of Colonel Abram Penn who served in the American Revolution.
To commemorate the 73rd anniversary of its organizing, current chapter members met February 13th and assembled Birthday Cake Kits and donated them to the Patrick County Food Bank.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-political, non-profit volunteer women’s service organization that promotes historic preservation, education and patriotism.
