The Stuart Farmers’ Market will be in full swing again this year, with plans to open early on Friday, April 21 and 28, with a grand opening set for Friday, May 5.
Operating hours are Fridays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The market is in downtown Stuart (320 Chestnut Street).
Vendors are ready to grow when the market gets underway, with many returning vendors and several new ones added to the lineup. Meats, eggs, baked items, crafts, coffee, honey, and fresh produce will be among the wares offered.
Each Friday the market will host special events and programming provided by the Master Gardeners, Extension Office, Patrick County Library and Landmark Center. A tool sharpener will be back the first Friday of each month starting in June. Bring those dull knives and garden blades for sharpening.
The market will also host the Rise and Shine Youth Market on June 23 and July 7. This market is where our local youth sell their wares.
The annual Red, White and Blueberries is the market’s 4th of July celebration on June 30.
The first Friday evenings, May through August, the market is host to the First Friday Summer Jam Series. This music series is a great way to kick off a weekend with live music, food, wine, beer, and community fellowship. The concerts are presented by One Family Productions.
The market will close out the season with the annual Mistletoe Market on Saturday, December 2, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This holiday event is a great place to find locally made gifts, food, and holiday décor. This event is one of several holiday happenings during the weekend of Hometown Christmas.
