The Stuart Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Local grown items such as cool season crops will be available. Baked items, meats, eggs, coffee and more.
Pastor Teddy Hiatt and the congregation of Wayside Community Church invites you to Friday Night Fellowship at 6:30 p.m. Music by The Southern Gentlemen. Guest Speaker is Pastor J. D. Walker.
Hotdogs and fixins will be served after the service. Wayside Community Church is located at 3520 Wayside Road, Stuart.

The Meadows of Dan High School Alumni meeting and covered dish will be held at the Meadows of Dan Elementary School cafeteria. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the covered dish dinner will start at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Alumni and anyone that attended Meadows of Dan school are welcome. Fairystone State Park will host the play “Corn Squeezins’ There Aint Nothin Like A Fambly Business” at 8 p.m. at the Park Amphitheater.

The Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard, American Legion Post 105 and the VFW Posts in Patrick Springs and Meadows of Dan will hold a Memorial Day celebration at the Gazebo in DeHart Park at 3 p.m. All veterans and their families and the general public are invited to attend. People should bring their own chairs.

The Woolwine Methodist Church food truck will be at the Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department from 3-5 p.m.
Saturday, June 3
The Patrick Henry Volunteer Fire Department will hold a hamburger steak dinner fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. The meal will include a hamburger steak, slaw, baked beans, roll, dessert, and a drink for $10. The meals can be eat-in or take out. To place an order, call (276) 629-7677.

The Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group LLC will meet at 7 p.m. in the basement of Hill Tax Service in Stuart. At this meeting the group will begin holding free monthly seminars that aim to inform and equip relatives of those suffering with Alzheimer’s and other caregivers.
Wednesday, June 14
The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Woolwine Methodist Church food truck will be at the Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department from 3-5 p.m.

The Ararat Ruritan Club hosts virtual raffles on its Facebook page on the first of each month. Various items are raffled off at $10 or $20 per limited chance. There are 30-35 chances on each raffle.
