Helen Angeline Williams Bowers, 87, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born September 21, 1929 in Fries and was a daughter of the late Theron Bruce Williams and Mary Kate Barber Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Randolph Bowers Sr.; a son, Larry Allen Bowers; brothers, Mike and Hicks Williams; three infant sisters, son-in-law, Jerald Harris, and daughters-in-law, Charlotte and Barbara.
She retired from Tultex after 32 years of service and also worked at Walmart for 12 years. She was a member of Daystar Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenna Bowers Harris of Martinsville; sons, Johnny Randolph Bowers Jr. of Patrick Springs, Jerrold D. Bowers of Bassett, Howard D. Bowers of Spencer, Phillip Bowers of Martinsville and Gary Bowers of Martinsville; one sister, Peggy Shepherd; brothers, Frank Williams, Jack Williams and Roger Williams; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Monday at Collins Funeral Home with interment in Roselawn Burial Park.
