Many local gardeners came to the Patrick County Master Gardeners Learning Garden Saturday to learn about compost, vermicompost (composting with worms) Compost tea and garden irrigation. Numerous techniques were demonstrated on how to build your garden soil and make your own soil amendments. The next Learning Garden workshop will include topics of Native Plants, Pollinator Plants, Poisonous Plants and the Removal of Invasive Plants. That workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on August 12, 1208 Tudor Orchard Road, Patrick Springs.
