Mr. William Charles “Chip” Booker, III, age 54 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born in Rockingham County, NC on May 19, 1969, to the late William Charles Booker, Jr and Carol Tolbert Booker Sheppard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Eli Amos; and his stepfather, Joel A. Sheppard. Chip was a hard worker and a machinist by trade, last working for C.W. Cauley and Sons. He loved fishing, going to the beach, and guns.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Ariel and James Craft of Covington, one son, Hunter Booker and girlfriend, Morgan Milligan of Stuart; his girlfriend, Tammy Harley of Eden, NC, one brother, Terry Booker of Jarrett; one sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Terry Amos of Stuart; two nieces, Alexandra Booker, Kristy A. Hughes and husband, Brandon, great niece and nephew, Adalee and Emory Hughes; and a cousin, Angel Tolbert.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Wayne Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the High Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
