The Patrick Springs Ruritan Club presented the Tom Downing Fellows Award to a member of the club during the October monthly meeting.
Kenneth Reynolds, a member since 2007, received the award for years of service to the Patrick Springs community and Patrick County.
The prestigious Tom Downing Award is the highest award given to a Ruritan. Fewer than 4% of all Ruritans are Tom Downing Fellows making this a distinctive honor among members. This honor from Ruritan National Foundation, sponsored by the club, is earned by one who demonstrates unselfish personal effort to the club and the community. Reynolds received the award with family, friends, and Ruritan members present at the meeting. Participating in the presentation was Pamela Smith, Zone 1 Governor of the Dan River District.
