A Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Meadows of Dan Community Building from 4-6 p.m. Organized by Faith Baptist Church. The meal is free to everyone. Those unable to drive may call Katlyn Boyd at 2776-694-9708 to be added to the home delivery list.
Saturday, Nov. 30
The Holiday Market at Fairy Stone State Park will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Meadows of Dan Christmas Parade begins at 3 p.m.
The Patrick County Democratic Committee will meet from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Patrick County Branch Library Community Room.

A tree lighting will be held at the Landmark Center starting at 6 p.m.

The Community Food Truck will be at the Woolwine SSRS from 3-4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 7
The Church of Living Water will hold a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The annual Patrick County Christmas Parade begins at 2 p.m.
Jeb Stuart Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold a Community Breakfast at its building, 1258 American Legion Road, Stuart, from 7:30-10 a.m. Plates are $8 each and dine in, carry out, and curb service options are available. Orders can be placed by calling 276-694-6171.

The Patrick County Food Bank will hold distribution at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6: 30 p.m., at Ararat starting at 8:30 a.m., and at Meadows of Dan starting at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 12
The Patrick County Senior Citizens Group will meet at 11 a.m. in the Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart. Entertainment will be provided by Jimmy Handy. Attendees are asked to bring finger foods and desserts to share.

The annual Festival of Lights at DeHart Park will be held from 6-8 p.m.

The Reynolds Homestead Victorian Christmas will start at 1 p.m.

The Patrick County Parks and Recreation Office is now conducting sign-ups for the grades K – 3 basketball season. Students in grades K – 1 and students in grades 2-3 will play on co-ed teams according to the two described grade-level groupings. Games will be played on Saturdays during February and March 2025. The deadline for sign-ups is Monday, December 16. Forms are available at any elementary school or the recreation department. Questions? The Coffee Break Café hosts live music on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring an instrument, or just come and listen.
