Paintings by Grace Royall Helms, art teacher at Stuart and Meadows of Dan elementary schools, are on display through the end of February at the Patrick County Branch Library.
Helms’ work features animals and nature, and is inspired by her faith, with an emphasis on joy. A Patrick County native, Helms grew up in Meadows of Dan. She has been teaching in Patrick County for 10 years.
“I have been making art forever!” Helms said. “I love the process and development of myself throughout my life. My art changes with the flow of life; my makings show the journey.”
