National Beta member Fedir Piatovol from Meadows of Dan Elementary School recently earned national accolades for his exceptional accomplishments at the 2025 National Beta Convention, held in Orlando, FL this June. After months of preparation and dedication, Fedir was awarded top honors at 7th place in the following competition: Computer Science.
These honors follow his success at the Virginia State Beta Convention in February, where Fedir first qualified to compete at the national level. The National Convention drew thousands of Beta members from across the country. This year’s event welcomed over 3,000 Elementary (grades 4–5), 5,100 Junior (grades 6–8), and 6,900 Senior (grades 9–12) students—making it the largest National Convention gathering in National Beta history.
“We are so proud of Fedir! He is such an incredible, kind, and bright student! Way to represent Meadows of Dan Elementary and Patrick County Public Schools,“ said Olivia Hazelwood, Beta Co-Sponsor at Meadows of Dan Elementary School.
