Vergie Ilene Quesinberry Bolt

Mrs. Vergie Ilene Quesinberry Bolt, age 89 of Stuart, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at SOVAH Health Martinsville. She was born in Carroll County on September 3, 1935, to the late Charlie Larkin Quesinberry and Annie Eunice Burnett Quesinberry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bolt; three sisters, Glaspa Painter, Avis Light, and Bertha Draper; and two brothers, Clarence Quesinberry and Gale Quesinberry. Mrs. Bolt and her husband, Vernon, were very devoted to each other and loved boating and fishing together.  She worked at Stuart Drug Store, where she enjoyed getting to know everyone. Ilene loved her family and her animals.

Mrs. Bolt is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, and her beloved cat, Tommy.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bolt will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Spur Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Clover Cat Rescue, P.O.
