This black-and-white male dog was found on Fire Trail Lane in Stuart. He is desperate for his family to find him and take him home.

This female tabby cat is confused and doesn’t understand why her family hasn’t visited the shelter to claim her. She was picked up from Koger Mill Road in Patrick Springs.

All dogs and cats deserve a permanent loving home. Call the shelter at (276) 694-6259, visit, or check their Facebook page for information about these and other available pets in need of a forever home. Adoption fees are $10 and include spay/neuter and vaccinations.

The Blue Ridge Animal Welfare League (BRAWL) is also offering a low-cost dog spay/neuter shuttle for county residents. Visit www.blueridgeawl.org/spay-neuter-shuttle-form to sign up and a volunteer will contact you.

Check out new videos of many fantastic pets on the Blue Ridge Animal Welfare League Facebook page. The group also provides pet food assistance and is always in need of pet food donations, especially cat food. Contact blueridgeawl@gmail.com for details. Visit the Blue Ridge Animal Welfare League website at www.blueridgeawl.org.
