The Blue Ridge Folklife Festival returns to Ferrum College on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 52nd annual festival will celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of the Blue Ridge with music, crafts, horse and mule contests, coon dog competitions, vintage tractors and cars, kids’ games, and much more.

Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for seniors (55+) and youth ages 6-15; children 5 and under are free. Tickets purchased at the gate will be $15 and $10, respectively. Guests are encouraged to buy tickets early to take advantage of pre-sale pricing by visiting www.blueridgefolklifefestival.com.

“Families and visitors can get the best value with pre-sale tickets for the 52nd annual Blue Ridge Folklife Festival, enjoying food, music, crafts, animal contests, coon dog races, antique cars and tractors, and much more at a lower cost than at the gate,” said Ferrum College President Mirta Martin.

Produced by the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum of Ferrum College, the festival is recognized as the largest regional event of its kind in Virginia. The New York Times has called the festival “thoroughly authentic,” and participants are the real thing—sharing folk traditions that have been part of their families and communities for generations.
