The JV Lady Cougars hosted North Stokes, on Monday, October 6, winning in two sets with scores 25-16 and 25-11. Reese Horton led the Cougars with 5 kills and 5 digs. Bailey Thompson had 4 kills, 7 digs, and 2 aces. Kaylene Garcia had 8 digs, and Meredith Wood had 13 assists, 7 digs, and 5 aces. Tuesday, October 7, PC hosted Floyd County, going 3 sets, winning with scores of 23-25, 26-24, and 15-7. Sheyan Lester had 8 kills and 3 blocks. Thompson had 5 kills, 16 digs and 2 aces. Horton had 2 kills, 4 digs, and 5 aces. Wood had 13 assists and 6 digs.
The ladies continued their winning season at Radford, Thursday, October 9, beating the Lady Bobcats 25-16 and 25-21. Lester had 8 kills and 1 block. Horton had 6 kills, 4 digs, and 3 aces. Madi Martin had 5 kills, and Savannah Fain contributed 4 aces on the night. Thompson added 5 kills, 11 digs, and 2 aces, while Wood added 18 assists.
The JV Cougars are an impressive 14-1 in the season.
