Bassett Ruritan Club will hold a country Halloween breakfast, 8-11 a.m. Food will include ham, sausage, eggs, apples, gravy and biscuits, coffee, and juice. Adult plates are $9, and child plates are $4. All proceeds go to the Ruritan Club. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume. Music by the Morton Brothers will start at 10 a.m.
Wayside Community Church will hold its annual Fall Chili-Cook Off & Music, 6:30 p.m. at 3520 Wayside Road, Stuart. Pastor Ben Atkins as the speaker. Music by Grace Group. Bring a chili recipe to share or come by to enjoy food and fellowship.

The 2025 Veterans’ Day Parade will be held at 1 p.m., from Moody’s Funeral Home at West Blue Ridge Street and down Main Street. Immediately after the parade, a ceremony will be held at Rotary Field. Ross Harbour Methodist Church, 6260 Elamsville Road, will hold a Fall supper and auction. The meal will be from 4-6 p.m., with chicken or ham plate options that are $10 each. Dine in and carry out options are available. The auction will start at 6:30 p.m. and will include cakes, pies, crafts, canned goods, and more.
Better Life Ministries 2nd Annual Council Fire, 400 Pleasant View Dr. Patrick Springs, 3 p.m. with baptisms in the pond, followed by old fashion games, chicken stew and hot dogs. Live worship music, bonfire (with marshmallows) and preaching from Pastor Paul Hooker. Everything is free.

The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce and Patrick & Henry Community College will hold a Billing Customers workshop from 12-1 p.m. at the Patrick County site. The cost is $15.

The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold its distribution day from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Stuart site, from 8-10 a.m. at Fellowship Church in Ararat, and starting at 5:30 p.m. at the community building in Meadows of Dan.
Thursday, Nov. 13
The Patrick County Senior Citizens Group meets at 11 a.m. in the Hooker Building at Rotary Field. Entertainment will be provided by Philip Adams, and the Reynolds Homestead will provide the meal. Attendees are requested to bring desserts to share with the group.

Inside yard sale to benefit Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group LLC. Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Members meet on the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Alzheimer’s office. New members are welcome. For more information, call (276) 693-6018.
