Garry Dwain Boyd

Mr. Garry Dwain Boyd, age 65, of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on January 3, 1960, to the late Orville Robert Boyd and Emeline Sizemore Boyd. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Lee Boyd and Robert William Boyd; a sister-in-law, Shirley T. Boyd; and a nephew, Gregory Boyd. He was a graduate of the Patrick County High School class of 1978. He was well known in the county with various softball leagues and tournament teams. His passion in life was classic cars, and he had been a mechanic since childhood. He was known far and wide for his mechanical abilities with tractors.

Mr. Boyd is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Boyd (Evelyn) of Meadows of Dan and Jerry Boyd of Meadows of Dan; two nephews, Allan Boyd (Christy) and Thomas Boyd (Katlyn); a niece, Leanne Boyd, and was loved by his many great nieces and nephews, and will be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to them.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is assisting the family, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
