Mr. Jon Gregory Jett, age 63 of Woolwine, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1962, in Oakland, California to the late James Shelton Jett and Sunny Jo Hubbard Jett.

Jon was raised in Texas where he grew up playing all different sports. The sport he loved the most was golf. One of his proudest moments in golf was winning the Blacksburg Open. Anybody who knew Jon knew of his sarcastic wit and humor. If you were fortunate enough to earn his love, it came wholeheartedly. He loved his family most of all but out of everything, his favorite moment was when he became a Pop-Pop to Maggie and soon-to-be Raylin. His love for his grandbabies was unwavering and like no other.

Mr. Jett is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Jett of the home; a daughter, Brittany King (Phillip); granddaughters, Maggie Rain and (soon to be) Raylin Joyce; his beloved fur baby, Brutus; special nieces and nephews; along with many others throughout other states.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is assisting the family, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com or mailed to Betty B. Jett, P.O. Box 67, Woolwine, VA 24185.
