Thirty pooches and their people came out Nov 8 to Fairy Stone Park’s Bark in the Park. The canines pledged to be Bark Rangers and received a certificate.
The leashed dogs took their owners on ranger led scenic loop hike on the Oak Hickory Trail and then attendees watched a demonstration of sniffing out hidden electronic devices by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Shabang.
The event culminated with the ribbon cutting of the new pet waste stations around the park, a project of Friends of Fairystone and funded by a One Family Productions’ Grassroots Grant and a donation from Bill Currier and Donna Bishop.
