Varsity Girls Fall to Floyd

The Varsity Lady Cougars traveled to Floyd, Tuesday, January 6th, falling to the Lady Buffaloes, 53-62. Kendra Worley led Patrick County with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 4 deflections, and 3 steals. Martina Hubbard had 9 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 4 deflections, 2 steals, and 1 block. Gracen Conner had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 deflections, and 4 steals. Chloe Hubbard had 7 points, 5 steals, 3 assists, 3 deflections, and 3 steals. Sheyan Lester had 7 points, 11 rebounds, 1 deflection, 1 steal, and 1 block.

JV Girls Beat Lady Buffaloes

On Tuesday, January 6, the JV Lady Cougars beat the Lady Buffaloes of Floyd, 51-18. Trinitee Penn led the team with 19 points, 2 assists, 7 steals, and 4 rebounds. Hailey Lester had 8 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 6 rebounds. Sarah Lawson had 8 points, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds. Isabella Martin had 5 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 rebounds. Tiffany Eckrote had 3 points, 2 steals, and 3 rebounds. Savannah Sanchez had 2 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 3 rebounds. Carrie Gregory had 2 points, 1 assist, and 1 rebound. Shianne Townsend had 2 steals, and Aaliyah Spencer had 1 rebound. Alaina McBride had 1 assist, Cassidy Brim had a steal, and Bella Clark had 1 rebound.

Grace Helms said, “The ladies played a great game and I am very proud of them. The team shared the ball and played fantastic defense. We boxed out all night! I am a happy coach!”
