The Seldom Scene will play The Rives Theater in Martinsville on Friday, March 10. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the band is scheduled to go on at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. With a body of work stretching to 1971 and early collaborations with Emmy Lou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, The internationally recognized band has performed at the White House many times. The Seldom Scene are Lou Reid on mandolin and vocals, Dudley Connell on guitar and vocals, Ronnie Simpkins on bass and vocals, Rickie Simpkins on banjo and fiddle, and Fred Travers on dobro and vocals.
