Amy Garrett was selected as the new Principal of Stuart Elementary School, effective July 1, according to a release from Patrick County Public Schools.
Garrett holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an endorsement in Educational Leadership. She brings 24 years of teaching experience along with four years of experience as an assistant principal, two of which were at Patrick County High School.
“I am excited and honored to be named the new principal at Stuart Elementary School. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the wonderful staff, students, and families of Patrick County High School,” Garrett said. “I’m looking forward to this new opportunity to work alongside the staff, students, and families at Stuart Elementary as we continue building a strong educational foundation for the students of Patrick County. Working as a team at Stuart Elementary, we will continue the tradition of success and support every student in reaching their full potential.”
Garrett has two sons, Dylan and Colby. She enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
