Eight students complete Surry’s first blacksmithing course

Eight students have completed Surry Community College’s Basic Blacksmithing course.

The students include Jacob Morris, Heather Morris, Emery Lipcomb, Isaac Norman, Timothy Stanley, Jackson Martin, Troy Martin, Samuel Senter, and Michael DeBold.

The Basic Blacksmithing course is designed for beginner students to gain a solid foundation in blacksmithing fundamentals.

Surry Community College will be offering another section of Basic Blacksmithing this summer. The classes will run on Saturdays from June 6 to June 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Yadkin Center. No prior experience is necessary. The minimum age requirement is 16.
